Album artwork & a custom made typeface for Erok Y Brahma's debut album, Limbo. To get a better idea of who they are, in the interview with Ben Guzman & Erok Y Brahma, journalist Chris K. Davidson writes:
"With a pulsating & enticing blend of hip hop, dubstep, Latin & alternative rock, Erok y Brahma is poised to conquer the music world with their debut release, Limbo. The album follows three protagonists who have been transported into Limbo. A destiny of stardom hovers over them, essentially making them rock stars in an alternate reality. Though the origin of their fame is a mystery, their goal is to both embrace their newfound glory & discover their purpose in this world. The record showcases vast & experimental sonic landscapes that draw influence from artists such as Daft Punk & Outkast.
The project is a collaboration between Orlando rappers Erok y Brahma & producer Ben Guzman. The record (which will come out on Guzman’s own Tik Talk Records) offers Guzman a chance to expand from his indie/alternative singer/songwriter roots to something much more elaborate.
“The idea was to create a club-themed album. In my research of the style called Reggaeton, I started to realize that it was a dying genre,” Guzman says. “This led me to the decision of making it more synth layered electro pop & adding a touch of Hip-Hop, Reggaeton, & dubstep.”
