LFY or Lettering For You, is a self-initiated experimental project, that focuses on creating custom-made lettering & typography to inspire a sense of curiosity, joy & encourage moments of insight.
Why is the focus on lettering & typography? Lettering & typography is what language looks like | Ellen Lupton. Language itself is a reflection of intellectual, emotional & spiritual aspect of the human mind. As such, lettering & typography can transcend the physical stereotypes of race, age, gender & even certain disabilities, allowing the viewers to create their own set of interpretations of the established concepts, influenced by their personal set of experiences, sensibilities & belief systems.
Too much in life creates physical & spiritual clutter. Joy resides in the simple things. So, keep it simple.
Lettering created in remembrance of Japan 2011 disaster. It is a reminder that we are all undeniably stronger when we come together as one.
Maintaining ones identity & sanity means reminding ourselves, more often than not, to never lose our ability to savor the little things in life. After all, it is the small things that determine our overall attitude on life.
A little praise can improve attitude for days. So here it is: U R Awesome.
Throughout our lives beauty never seizes to stop influencing our judgement. It is quite fascinating how flawed our judgment can become in the presence of something beautiful.
Once in a while, its nice when we are reminded of the wonderful potential that resides within each of us.
